PRIVATE NATURE TOURS IN SIAN KA'AN

Sustainable tourism in the Mexican Caribbean

We operate private nature tours in the Biosphere Reserve of Sian Ka'an - a corner of Mexico renowned for its natural beauty. Taking in the coastal wetlands and shimmering lagoons, the tours provide rare access to the region's spectacular wildlife and awe-inspiring Mayan ruins.

Discover the Natural Beauty of Sian Ka'an

From day one, Visit Sian Ka’an has been committed to protecting the local area and its fragile ecosystems of this World Heritage Site. To achieve this, we’ve developed a business model based on sustainable tourism – and we’ve worked hard to minimize the environmental impact of our tours. In the near future, we are going to launch a conservation fund for donations. In addition whererver possible we try to support existing conservation projects to help preserve this area for future generations.

So whether you’re looking for a romantic break for two or a relaxing vacation for the whole family, you can be confident that your time in Sian Ka’an will be as good for the environment as it is for you.

“Sian Ka’an is one of the most spectacular and ecologically diverse places on earth – and we want to keep it that way.”

What is the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve?

A sublime area of natural beauty, Sian Ka’an is home to thousands of species of flora and fauna, which is why the region became a designated Biosphere Reserve in 1986. A year later, Sian Ka’an was declared a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO and it remains the largest protected area in the Mexican Caribbean. Possibly the most astonishing part of the Yucatan peninsula, it is located 2 hours south of Cancun near the small town of Tulum.

What else will I find in Tulum?

Tulum is a charming coastal town that in recent years has become one of the region’s most popular tourist resorts. A site of enormous archaeological significance, it is home to a large number of traditional Mayan buildings that have remained intact for up to 1,000 years.

When you’re not exploring the Mayan ruins, you should also visit Tulum’s world-famous cenotes: a series of crystalline freshwater pools connected by a maze of underground rivers. And of course, you can’t visit Tulum without unwinding on one of our white sandy beaches – considered by many to be among the most beautiful in the world.
